Hormone Testing

Are you experiencing hormonal imbalances?

The answer is probably yes if you’ve got any of the following:

-uterine fibroids, endometriosis, or PCOS

-insomnia or difficulty sleeping

-trouble losing weight

-heavy, painful periods

-PMS (click for PMS-Type Quiz!)

-mood swings

-acne

-infertility or difficulty conceiving

-brain fog

hot flashes, night sweats, and/or vaginal dryness

-low libido

-bloating, tender breasts and weight gain

It’s important to TEST, not GUESS, at what’s going on with your body.

One test that I offer to patients is the DUTCH test, which stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. This test gives us information about all of the major hormone systems in the body that only urinary testing can provide (aka different than blood, which is notoriously terrible for assessing hormones, and saliva). It’s easy: simply pee on the test strips, mail it into the lab, and we get your results!

In addition to info about so many of your hormones (stress hormones, thyroid, estrogens, progesterone, testosterone, etc.), we also get to see how well your body is using its vitamins (B12 and Biotin for example – are you supplementing enough?).

AND we get info about your adrenaline, dopamine, and melatonin levels! These neurotransmitters play a big part in how you look and feel.

Want to know more about the DUTCH test or hormones in general? DM me! Better yet, book an appointment for yourself here. If you live in Ontario, I’m here to serve you – online visits available. And, make sure you download my FREE Menopause Starter Guide & learn which hormones may be out of balance for you!
