Meet the Doctor

Dr. Tanya is a graduate of the Doctor of Naturopathy program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. This is one of only two schools in Canada at which it is possible to become a Naturopathic Doctor. Before pursuing a degree in Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Tanya completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), majoring in Psychology at York University in Toronto.

Further to her education at CCNM, Dr. Tanya has completed training in Applied Kinesiology, Biotherapeutic Drainage, Reiki Healing Methods, Colon Hydrotherapy, and Facial Acupuncture.

During her final year of studies, Dr. Tanya focused her education and training on various causes of infertility, including Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, Pre-Mature Ovarian Insufficiency, male factor infertility including sperm defects and erectile dysfunction, as well as unexplained infertility. She has additional experience with enhancing the IVF process using acupuncture. She has special interests in detoxification and cleansing, hormone balancing, including adrenal and thyroid dysfunction, as well as digestive issues and pre-and-post natal care. She has completed a specialized clinical rotation at Sherbourne Health Centre, working with HIV/AIDS patients.

Dr. Tanya is specially trained in the use of Bio-Identical Hormones and how to apply it effectively for many health concerns. BHRT can be used to relieve symptoms of hormone imbalance or deficiency while keeping your safety at the forefront. Bio-identical hormones are extracts from plants that are exactly like the hormones your own body makes. BHRT is designed to optimize your body’s own hormone levels, whether they have declined through age or because of an underlying condition.

Dr. Tanya is a member of both the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is accepting new patients at Health in Balance in Cambridge, Ontario and remotely via Telemedicine.
